Miss Charolais USA 2012
Evelyn Margaret Nord
Evelyn Margaret Nord of Clinton, Illinois, is the 19 year-old daughter of Rob and Lucy Nord, and is a fourth generation Charolais breeder. She is attending Richland Community College studying Biology and will transfer to the University of Illinois to study Pre-Med. Growning up around Charolais cattle, Evelyn has enjoyed showing for the past ten years and has shown much interest in the breed. She served on the AIJCA Board for three years and was recently selected by the Illinois Charolais Juniors to represent them as their Queen. Evelyn was also active in both FFA and 4-H serving as President and other officer positions for both organizations. Miss Nord kept her FFA proficiencies on her Charolais herd receiving many awards, includeing Star Farmer at her chapter. Music has always been one of Evelyn's greater passions as she has played piano since age five and guitar since eleven. By offering the talent show annually, Miss Nord has found love for performance on stage through AIJCA. Evelyn has always held an interest in acadmenics and has maintained a 4.0 GPA for eight consecutive years and was Valedictorian of her graduating class. In the future she looks forward to attending medical school in Chicago and one day owning a Charolais herd of her own.
Evelyn was sponsored by the Illinois Charolais Association. |
