Congratulations to Miss Charolais USA 2008
Katelyn Snider, Palestine, Texas
Katelyn Snider is from Palestine, Texas, and is the daughter of Andy Snider. She is currently a senior at Palestine High School where she is actively involved in volleyball, basketball and power lifting. Along with her team building activities, she engages in several leadership organizations including Student Council, National Honor Society, and FFA. Presently she is serving as the Texas FFA Area VIII office and was also elected by her peer’s to serve as their local FFA President. In addition to her extra-curricular activities, she actively raises and exhibits Charolais cattle. Katelyn is the Texas Junior Charolais Association’s Historian and was selected this summer to represent the Charolais Association of Texas as the 2007-08 CAT Queen. Katelyn is sponsored by the Charolais Association of Texas.

1st Runner-Up was Kyla Clawson from Satanta, Kansas. Kyla is sponsored by Schrader Ranch in Wells, Kansas.

Applications for Miss Charolais USA 2009 are now being accepted. Postmark deadline July 30, 2008!
Miss Charolais USA 2009 contest to be held at the 2008 American Royal. Applications must be postmarked by July 30 of the year of the contest! Please email Jamie Sparks at miss_charolais_usa@yahoo.com for an applicaiton.

Awards:
— A $1,000 scholarship to Miss Charolais USA.
— A $500 scholarship to the first runner-up.
— Up to $2,000 in travel expenses paid for Miss Charolais USA.
